R Uinta This begs the question: do you love backcountry singletrack, remote camping, alpine forests, and pristine rivers? Route guide here R Uinta This? is a 60-mile bikepacking loop through Utah's Uintas Mountains, offering a high bang-to-buck ratio. The route links forest roads, doubletrack, and singletrack along rivers and streams crossing the forests, aspen groves, and high-alpine meadows of the Uintah Mountains. It is located just an hour from Salt Lake City and is located far enough from the city to feel more remote than the Wasatch Front. The ride begins with steady climbs on non-technical roads rewarded with big mountain vistas and ripping descents. The North Fork Scenic Byway, Bench Creek, and Pine Valley trails add some singletack texture that keeps it from feeling like a regular forest-road tour. The overall route is rated 6/10 overall.
