SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — The alt-rock trio Wallows is bringing their Model Tour to Sandy, Utah, on Sept. 6, when they take the stage at the Plaza at America First Field.

The 38-city tour will take the trio across North America and into parts of Europe and the United Kingdom. Wallows will be joined by BENEE, the singer from New Zealand whose song “Supalonely” with Gus Dapperton went viral in 2020.

Tickets and tour dates are available on the band’s official website.

Wallows is a trio that includes Dylan Minnette, Braeden Lemasters and Cole Preston, who have been friends since childhood, and released their debut album in 2019. In 2022, they released their sophomore album.

The trio has performed at festivals including Coachella and Lollapalooza, but The Model Tour will be a new experience for the band, as it will be the trio’s first time performing at some other major venues.

The tour will be produced by Live Nation, and according to a press release, this tour is set to be the “biggest tour to date” for Wallows. It will be their first time headlining at venues including Madison Square Garden in New York and the Kia Forum in Los Angeles.

The Model Tour kicks off in Portland, Oregon, on Aug. 6, and will be supporting the group’s album of the same name, “Model,” which is set to be released on May 24.

Wallows released the single “Your Apartment” in February, which is the first song off “Model.” According to the press release, “Your Apartment” was the highest streaming debut for the group so far.

On March 21, Wallows released the second single off the album, “Calling After Me,” just over two months before the album comes out.

The Model Tour offers two different VIP packages, which will include early entry to the venue and exclusive merchandise — some of which may be signed.
