Salt Lake City Woman Sentenced for Lying About Fatal Shooting

She lied about a deadly Salt Lake Airbnb shooting — now she's on probation instead of facing trial. Salt Lake City woman, Tommi Tiara Jude Gallegos, has been sentenced to probation instead of jail time for lying about a shooting that killed 18-year-old Gabriel Isidore Vigil at a Salt Lake City Airbnb in 2024. Gallego admitted to making a false statement to an investigating officer about the shooting, falsely claiming that the party was girls-only and that she did not know the victim. She had originally been charged with obstruction of justice as a second-degree felony, but this charge was reduced to a lesser offense as part of a plea deal. The case was resolved nearly three years after the fatal shooting. Two men, Maricio Amar Reyes Valdez and Isidores Junior Barrera, were each charged with aggravated robbery, two counts of shooting someone causing serious injury, and 18 counts of discharge of a firearm.
