More than 6,000 homes, businesses lose power in Salt Lake County
More than 6,000 customers across Salt Lake County lost power Monday morning in an outage, according to Rocky Mountain Power.RMP officials said they were aware o Rock Mountain Power (RMP) experienced a power outage in Salt Lake County, affecting over 6,000 customers across Midvale, Salt Lake and Sandy. The outage was first notified at 9:11 a.m. and could take up to nine hours to repair, but is expected to be restored by 3:30 p.m., according to RMP. The cause of the outage is currently under investigation. Those affected can get updates by texting "STAT" to 759677 or visiting the company's website.
