Pat McAfee and the College GameDay crew were in Salt Lake City, Utah, for a Big 12 showdown between the Utah Utes and Houston Cougars, but McAfee did not enjoy his time at the university. He cited a video by Utah Student Experience and the official University of Utah account, which showed several students mocking McAfee as they camped out for the festivities, as one of the reasons for his dissatisfaction. McAfee also mentioned the assassination of Charlie Kirk, which occurred at Utah Valley University in 2025, suggesting that the university's post could incite hostility towards him.
