The Utah Division of Wildlife Resources (DWR) is working to relocate the animal to an area where it would not impact mule deer herds, livestock producers, or pose any risk to public safety. This is part of a trend of increased wildlife sightings across Utah this year, attributed to more people having doorbell and security cameras recording cougar and bear sightings more frequently. Wildlife officials have encouraged people to report cougar sightings if it has shown aggressive behavior or has killed something nearby.
