Alaska Man Arrested for Stalking Ex-Girlfriend in Salt Lake City
He tracked her car, found her dinner table, then her hotel room. Now he's jailed without bail in Salt Lake City. Steven Samuelson, a 49-year-old man from Alaska, has been arrested in Salt Lake City for allegedly stalking his ex-girlfriend's vehicle with a hidden device and following her hundreds of miles from Alaska as she moved towards a new life in Arizona. The woman had lived with Samuelsen in Alaska before deciding to relocate to Arizona. She had not given him any information about her plans and believed he had no way to locate or contact her. Samuisch allegedly approached her at a hotel without warning or announcement and then checked into his own room. He later admitted to knowing her was staying at the hotel and requesting to be connected directly to her room phone. This incident has raised broader concern in Utah over covert GPS and Bluetooth tracking.
