A 39-year-old man is facing several charges after officials say he attempted to avoid arrest by attacking Iron County Sheriff's Deputies with golf clubs. Michael James Torp, a 39-year-old man, is facing several charges related to attempted attempts to evade arrest by attacking Iron County Sheriff's Deputies with golf clubs. The incident occurred when a trooper with the Utah Highway Patrol attempted to stop Torp's white Dodge Ram when it was discovered that he had an active warrant for his arrest for possession of marijuana. Despite several attempts by several troopers to taseasee, Torp allegedly refused to comply with their commands once a K9 arrived.
