Idaho police searching for vehicle seen at scene of alleged racist incident targeting Utes
Authorities have provided an update on the investigation into racial slurs that were allegedly directed at the University of Utah women's basketball team while The Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, police are investigating an alleged racist incident involving the University of Utah women's basketball team on March 21, allegedly directed at them while they were staying in Coeurd'Alena, Idaho for the NCAA tournament. The incident is still being investigated as of April 3. Since the initial reports were made, detectives have reportedly conducted interviews with several parties and obtained 35 hours of surveillance footage from businesses in the area where the remarks were reportedly made. They detected the use of a racial slur in one of the audio recordings, and are working to determine if the racial slur was used more than once. Police are also working to identify a silver vehicle seen in the incident.

Authorities have provided an update on the investigation into racial slurs that were allegedly directed at the University of Utah women's basketball team while they were staying in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, for the NCAA tournament.
Officers of the Coeur d'Alene Police Department said that the March 21 incident involving members of the Utes was still being investigated as of April 3.
Since the initial reports were made, detectives have reportedly conducted interviews with several involved parties and have obtained 35 hours of surveillance footage from businesses in the area where the remarks were reportedly made.
Officials are currently working to sift through the surveillance footage to gather details on the suspect(s), timeframe, and progression of the alleged racism.

"Some of the surveillance video/audio corroborates what was reported by members of the basketball program and detectives are currently working to locate any additional evidence," police stated.
Officials confirmed that they detected the use of a racial slur in one of the audio recordings and that they are working to "determine the context and conduct associated with its use to determine if it is a violation of the law."
They added that further review of evidence suggested the use of a racial slur occurred more than once.
