In response, Vitek Vanecek started and the team signed practice goaltender Colten McIntyre to supplement with two goalkeepers. The team has also called up AHL goaltender Matt Villalta from the Tucson Roadrunners to backup Vanecedk. Despite being on injured leave for almost a week, Vemlemka is eligible to play in Utah's next game against New York City on January 1.
