Deputies of the Tooele County Sheriff's Office said they responded to a motorcycle crash near 7000 North Center Street in Lakepoint just after 8 p.m. on Saturday, June 8.
Investigators determined that two 20-year-old men were riding on a motorcycle traveling northbound on Center Street.
For an unknown reason, the motorcyclist slammed head-on into an oncoming southbound vehicle.
One of the riders was pronounced dead on the scene and the other was transported to a Salt Lake area hospital in critical condition.
The occupants of the car were not injured in the crash.
Investigators are working to determine the cause of the crash.
